Michael VeShaun Shepherd, of Winston Salem, NC departed on January 14, 2025, at his home. He was born on September 16, 1973, to Michael Ray Shepherd and Shirley Jean Shepherd.

He graduated from Carver High School and attended WSSU and obtained an associate's degree in Cyber Security, and Carpentry from Forsyth Technical Community College. He worked at Alliance One 10+ years. Shaun had a huge heart and enjoyed hanging with family.

He enjoyed being a father, uncle and great uncle always on the floor with them on his back. He was the one person everyone could count on to do anything. He loved to fish, grill, go to the gun range, and work on his car. He loved to shop for shoes, and listen to a variety of music, always saying "you don't know nothing about this".

Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother, Minnie Lee Simons; and his two uncles, Carl Shepherd and Waddell Shepherd.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, two children, Michael VeShaun Shepherd Jr. and Micah Elize Shepherd; his parents, Michael Ray Shepherd and Shirley Jean Shepherd; two sisters, Sarah D. Jackson and Donna A. Roseboro; one brother, Dion L. Shepherd; three nieces, Chontel C. Holman, Jordan N. Jackson, and Christian L. Roseboro; one nephew, Cory L. Roseboro; two great nieces, Trinity N. Holman and Cianna L. Palacios; one great nephew, Dallas L. Mickel; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and two best friends, David Cathcart and Dwoine Phillips.
