Michael "Mike Mike" Joyner, 32, died unexpectedly on September 22, 2015. He was born May 4, 1983, the son of Harvey and Elverta Joyner Lewis.

He attended Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and graduated from West Forsyth in 2001, where he was member of the football team. Shortly after graduating from high school, Mike joined the United States Marine Corp.

Michael's smile lit up any room. He was full of life and enjoyed seeing other people happy. There were no bounds to the love that Michael had for his own personal angel, Michaela. She was his world and he sacrificed all for her. He was always the life of the party and danced and sang his way into your heart. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his parents; his daughter, Michaela Joyner; his brother, Andre (Lindsay) Joyner; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Homegoing services will be held at 12noon Monday, September 28, 2015 at Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church with Bishop Sheldon McCarter officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11:00am until 12noon on Monday at the Church.
