Mr. Michael Lee Campbell departed this life on July 31, 2014 at Novant Medical Center. He was born September 4, 1952 to Lelia and Lafayette Campbell whom preceded him in death in addition to his son, Michael Lee Campbell, Jr. and his sister, Portia Campbell.

He was known to his family and numerous friends as "SOUP". Mike was a loving father, brother, and uncle.

He leaves to carry on his love and caring for anyone he met to his daughter, Lelia Campbell; grandson, Jackson T. Epps; sister, Melinda (Jerry) Majette; brothers, Larry ( Ann) Campbell and Lafayette (Mary) Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donald Hill officiating. The family visitation will be held from 2pm until 3pm on Tuesday at the Chapel.
