Obituary
Mrs. Merlyn Myers Crosby, 69, was born February 25, 1943 in Anson County, NC to Charlie and Inez Myers. She departed this earthly life January 8, 2013.
She was a graduate of ACTS Wadesboro in Anson County and was employed at Wake Forest University and WS Urban League.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Crosby, Jr.; and seven brothers.
Left to cherish her memories are her four children, Blinda Corbett (Jay), Algenon Gatewood, Craig Hardison (Bonita Wallace), and Dender Hardison (Frederick Galloway); three grandchildren, Turquoise Corbett, Camillia Hardison, and Zanell Galloway; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Doziner Myers; two sisters-in-law, Nellie Myers and Mona Burgess; a dear friend, Flora Greenburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dairl Scott officiating. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Friday at the Chapel.
