Obituary
Ms. Melissa Christine Lowery, 83, was born June 29, 1930 in Greenville, SC. She departed this earthy life on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late William Ludie and Lula Christine Johnson.
Melissa is survived by her three daughters, Beverly Christmas, her devoted caregiver of the home, Marilyn (Lewis) Handy and Valgean (Anthony) Johnson, Sr.; one son, Pastor Louis Lowery, Jr.; a nephew whom she raised, William (Renata) Moore; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Wednesday at the Chapel.
