Melinda Kay Duke Martin, age 64, was born in Forsyth County on November 8, 1957 to Thomas Duke, Sr. and Hilda Duke.  She passed away November 27, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Melinda was a graduate of North Forsyth High School and a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

Melinda was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alma Simmons; father, Thomas Duke, Sr.; brother, Thomas Duke, Jr.; and her sister, Patricia Diane Duke.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Hilda Duke; daughter, Toccara Martin; grandchildren, Staci Lynn Washington and Keyceon Bruce Gibson; nieces, Jewel Alexandria Workman and Tiffany Mitchell; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VIEWING AT THE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, December 6, 2021 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Monday at the Church.
