Mrs. Mayneal Manning Davis, 77 of 3947 Waddill Street was born October 29, 1934 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Neal Manning and Mayola Covington Manning. She departed this life on Monday, July 4, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Mrs. Mayneal Manning Davis was a life-long member of St. John CME Church. She attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and retired from Oak Summit Nursing Home.
Mayneal was a sweet and loving person to everyone she met. She loved plants and adored her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James T. Manning.
She is survived and leaves to cherish her memories three loving sons, Michael Manning, Herman Manning, and Larry Manning; a devoted and loving daughter, Sandra Manning all of Winston-Salem, NC; five grandchildren, Sherman Thompson, Michael Thompson, Stephon N. White, Erica Roper, and Stephanie D. White; three great-grandchildren; devoted and caring cousins, Ellena Graham, Connie Mae Green and Drukie Brown; a devoted friend, Barbara Olstead; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, July 9, 2011 at St. John CME Church, 650 NW Crawford Place W-S, NC. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:30pm on Saturday at the Church.
