Maxie Junior Adams, 77, of 120 West 140th Street New York, NY gained his heavenly wings on March 5, 2017 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on October 24, 1939 in Dillion, South Carolina.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of New York, NY. Maxie was united in marriage to Lora Jane Miles in Dillion, South Carolina in 1961.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John & LuVina Adams; one daughter, Tina Lee Adams; one son, Michael Adams; and six brothers and one sister.

Left to cherish his loving memories are his wife, Lora Jane Miles of the city; four devoted sisters, Bessie (Willie) Johnson, Julia (Lonnie) McCrae, & Aline Underwood all of the city, & Rosa Lee Adams of New York, NY; one brother, George (Marine) Adams of Dillion, SC; a host of nieces & nephews; a very special friend, Haleena Celia Spigner of New York, NY; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday March 10, 2017 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Chapel.
