Obituary
Mattie Lee Clark Blair departed this life on March 30, 2009.
She was the daughter of Rashidah Allah and Dean Clark, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, David A. Blair, Sr.; one sister, Vivian Clark; a nephew, Azali Clark; and a granddaughter, Ife Allah.
Cherished memories will remain with her mother; sons, Dean Clark, III "Nas', Deacon Donovan Clark "Hassan", and David Blair, Jr. "Lovie"; daughters, Amira Clark and Ericka Clark McTeer (Kalvin); one sister, Frances "Korea" McFadden (Charles); devoted aunts, Sally Miller and Charcenna (Richard); seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of honorary family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm Saturday, April 4, 2009 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donald Keaton officiating. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center and the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for the care given to Mrs. Blair.
