Earth needed an angel so God sent Mary Ann Marlin Turner on October 6, 1948. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC to Jones and Alma Marlin. She was called back to heaven from her Earthly assignment on December 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
She attended Forsyth County Schools and graduated from Atkins High School in 1966. Mary was employed as a lab technician with RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company where she transitioned into employment and retired from Lancaster Labs. As an admirer and creator of beautiful things, she founded Décor by Mar-T which allowed her to utilize her God-given talent and love of creating breathtaking flower arrangements and awe-inspiring wedding and home decor. Mary was an avid thrift shopper. On any given day, she could be found shopping at her local Goodwill. She wrote and sang 'I've Got a Story to Tell', which testified of the goodness and mercy of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul.
She has been an active member of Fellowship Community Church for over 20 years serving as a greeter and decorator.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved brother, John H. Marlin.
