Mary Alice Malachi Traynham, 79, known to her family and friends as "Mae", was born September 29, 1942 to the late Gladys Olivia Malachi Coleman and George Martin.  She departed this earthly life on August 26, 2022.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Traynham, Jr.; son, Richard Traynham; brother, James A. Coleman; aunts, Annie Lou Malachi Taylor and Kate K. Malachi; and uncles, Willie "Buddy" Melton Malachi and Borkin "B.W." W. Malachi.

She leaves to cherish her memories two brothers, Calvin E. (Debbie) Coleman of Kings Mountain, NC and Otis Denard Coleman of the city; one sister, Mazie Coleman of Brooklyn, NY; nephews and nieces, James E. Coleman, Tonya L. Colon, Christal D. Coleman, Jeminelle A. Moore, Chattrice L. Malachi, David K. (Monica) Malachi, Frankie M. (Amberley) Malachi, Cshediiz D. Coleman, Csherian C. Coleman, and Cshelle R. Coleman; cousins, Laura Ann (Charles) Cage, Maretha M. (Michael) Hopkins, Linda Sligh (Michael) Spinks, and Joseph (Kim) Malachi; and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Willette Vance officiating.
