It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Wharton Robinson, who left us on November 22, 2025. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mary Ann Wharton Robinson was born on March 30, 1937, in Clemmons, North Carolina. She graduated from Carver High School and later earned a Nursing degree from North Carolina A&T State University. Ms. Robinson subsequently established a career as a Registered Nurse, recognized for her proficiency and dedication to the field. Baptized early in life, she first belonged to Capernaum Church of Christ. In 2007, she placed membership at Carver Road Church of Christ, remaining an active member until her health declined. With a passion for plants and gardening, she was an active member of the Beautification Committee. She also served in the Communion Preparer's Ministry and Greeters' Ministry.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, James Howard Wharton and Amanda Amelia Eccles Wharton; her husband, Dr. Eddie T. Robinson II; and her daughter, Melody Robinson Pruden.

She is survived by her sons, Howard Eugene Brown (Tomoko) of Hanover, MD, David Patterson Brown (Felicia) of Winston Salem, NC, and Eddie Tyclus Robinson III (Regina) of Clinton, MD. Mary Ann leaves behind 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends whom she cherished deeply.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Monday, December 1, 2025 at Russell Funeral Home.

Friends and Family Viewing is at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Carver Road Church of Christ, located at 4399 Carver School Road, Winston Salem, NC. Her Homegoing Service will follow at Noon. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the V Foundation ( Cancer Foundation for Research | V Foundation ) in Mary Ann Wharton Robinson's memory.
