Mary Alice Myers, 75, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014. She was born to the late James Robert Bennett and Allie Mae Stanley on December 24, 1938 in Anson County and later married the late Willie Myers, Jr. To this union two children were born, Angela (Raymond) Eldridge and Brett Myers both of the city.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Bennett.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children; two grandchildren, Jevon Myers, Sr. and Latrice Jefferson; six great-grandchildren; a longtime devoted friend, Wayne Martin; and a host of family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Louis Threatt officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Friday at the Chapel.
