Mary Elizabeth Miller, 64, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.

Mary was born December 1, 1953 in Winston-Salem, NC, to Charlotte Miller and Paul Burns. Affectionately known as 'Mae-Mae,' she adored her family and was a mother to all. She was full of zest for life, a pillar in her community, friend and confidante to many. Her larger than life personality will shine bright through those she loved most.

She is preceded in death by her father; sisters, Josephine Miller, Anthionette Torbit, Paula Burns Belton; and brother, Allen Tyrone Miller.

Surviving are her mother, Charlotte Miller; daughter, Shaketha Rorie (Tremaine); grandchildren, Tequila Miller (Rishawn Harris Sr.) and D'Aaron Miller; great-grandchildren, Rishawn, Jr. and Raven; brothers, William Miller, Robert Miller (Pamela), Anthony Miller and Michael Miller; sister, Rosalind Miller; nieces and nephews; LeShanda, Jamie, Charlaye, Denyelle, Robbie, Andre, Allen, Deshun; great nieces and nephews; Jada, Braylon, Jaxon and Jordyn. Too numerous to mention, Mary leaves to mourn an additional host of devoted family and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be held at 12noon Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Yvette Lovett Martin officiating.  Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.  The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Tuesday at the Church.

The family extends a special note of appreciation to Dr. Barry Freedman, Dr. Pirouz Daeihagh and the local dialysis center staff for the excellent care provided over the last 30 years.
