Mrs. Mary McIlwain, aka "McWayne" & "Snow", passed away Thursday, January 24, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born January 7, 1920.

She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Sarah Moore; three siblings, Lorraine Taylor, Lottie Ford, and Charlie McClain; her eldest son, James McIlwain; and grandson, Edward McIlwain.

She leaves behind one sister, Nancy (Theodore) Fulp; eight children, Columbus, Samuel, Roger (Sandra), Willie, and Timothy (Lisa) McIlwain, Annette Martin, Peggy (Lester) Carpenter, and Pamela (Ronald) Teeter; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Thursday at the Church.
