Mrs. Mary Louise Hardy Heath was set free from this world, after 80 years, on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Forsyth Hospital. She departed peacefully surrounded by her daughters, Doris Hardy Hughes and Patricia Ann Hardy, her granddaughter Margaret Hughes, and great grandsons Azaan, Amaad, Aamir, and Azekel, and an ex-care giver.
For some 40 years, Ms. Heath resided at 500 Haw Drive, Greenville, N.C. and was actively involved in her church, Philippi Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ). Because of health conditions, in 2007, her daughter moved her to 1275 Twin Oak Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
To celebrate her freedom and home going, Ms. Heath leaves one son, Robert Lee Hardy (Jerri); six daughters (4 step daughters), Doris Hardy Hughes, Patricia Ann Hardy, Jean (Ronnie) Teel, Joyce Morrison, Edna Parker and Ruby Bottie; one brother- James Hardee (Ella); three sisters-in-law; 16+ grandchildren; 46+greatgrand children; and two+ great-great grand children; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We will love and cherish her forever.
A celebration of her life will be held at 12noon Friday, July 9, 2010 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Friday at the funeral home. Public viewing of Mrs. Hardy will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 12noon until 9pm at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or a memorial contribution to the Diabetes Association, the Lions Club or a charity of your choice.
