Mrs. Mary Neal Hardy of 5030 Butterfield Drive went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Clemmons Nursing and Rehabilitation in Clemmons, NC.
Mary Neal was born in Wadesboro, NC on October 15, 1922. She later moved to Winston-Salem where she was employed with C&C Cafeteria until her retirement. She was also a devoted member of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary Ministry.
Mary Neal was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Hardy; one son, Claude Hardin; and two sisters, Johnsie Myers and Alease Gray.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Mary Lee Cook and Blondell Spann Hardin of Winston-Salem, NC; three sons, Henry (Marvetta) Hardin, Mannie (Denise) Hardin and Bernard (Willie Mae) Hardin all of Winston-Salem, NC; a devoted niece, Evelyn Gray of Philadelphia, PA; two nephews, Dewitt and Eugene Gray of Winston-Salem, NC; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, October 16, 2009 from the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Waymon L. Monroe, Jr. officiating and Reverend Charles Leak Eulogist. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from11:30am until 12Noon on Friday at the Church.
