Mary Esther Fielder Jones was born to the late Robert and Mary Fielder. Mary was born September 29, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA where she graduated from Simon Gratz High School. Mary professed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who she believed in wholeheartedly. Mary was a faithful and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Mary had a caring and loving spirit. She spoke her mind with love and sometimes she would give you the business. She worked as a CNA for many years before retiring. Her hobbies included gardening (she loved flowers and plants), reading her daily scriptures and making sure her family was good. She ALWAYS had an encouraging word in a time of need.

Mary married Anthony Jones on February 14, 2005 on Valentine's Day and they remained loving, loyal and faithful to each other.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Fielder; her sister, Shirley Fielder; and her daughter, Shanna Marie Todd.

Mary Fielder Jones leaves to mourn her husband, Anthony Jones; her son, Rhasad Todd and daughter-in-law, Anisha Todd;  her daughters, Vanessa Gleaves and Jean Stuart; 2 additional daughters; 3 additional sons; 6 grandchildren, Victoria Gleaves, Shadeed Smith, Shaheem Todd Cochran, Nancy Rodriguez, Solomon Gleaves and Ronald Gleaves and; 5 great grandchildren, Semaj Gleaves, Legacy Gleaves, Ty,  Lil Barry Edwards, Kaisely Williams Gleaves; her sister, Thelma; 3 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers in-laws;  five nieces, Tawanda Fielder, Jaliyah Fielder, Justianna Fielder, Elaine Scales and Jasmine Louden; 2 nephews, Malik Holman and Barry Edwards; special friends, Uncle Ronald Fry, Shirley Martin and Mr. Art; and a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
