Mary Helen "Sweet" Denning was born August 18, 1944, in Winston- Salem NC, to the late James Willie Boozer and Tecora Tidwell Boozer. She entered into eternal life on July 31, 2023, peacefully at home.

Childtime Learning Center formerly employed her for over 20 years. She attended St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC, where she faithfully served the Lord.

She loved to teach children and they were her joy. Shopping was her other favorite pastime.

Mrs. Denning was preceded in death by father, James Willie Boozer; mother, Tecora Tidwell Boozer; brother, James Willie Boozer Jr.; sisters, Lucille Boozer Giles and Dorothy Boozer; and nephew, Christopher Boozer.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her loving husband of 57 years, Nathan Denning and son, Michael Denning of the home; sister, Ella Self and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
