Obituary

Elder Mary Fowler Crawford of 837 Charles Ct., transitioned from this life on September 11, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home following a brief illness.

She was a graduate of Davie County High School.
She was a devoted member of Temple Holiness Church.
She was President of the State Convention and later named Emeritus State Elder. She also served on the Elders Board.
Mrs. Crawford was employed by the Yates Family for 29 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Henry Fowler; her mother, Margie Payne Fowler; and her sister, Louise Mayfield.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 59 years, William H. Crawford; her sister, Margie Wilson of Salisbury, NC; three sisters-in-law, Emma C. Sims, Ruby C. Hinson (Jerry), and Doris Crawford; two nephews, Kevin and Phillip Wilson of Salisbury, NC; five godsons, Bobby Reader of W-S, NC, Bill, Parker, and Drew Yates all of High Point, NC, and Wiford Walls; four goddaughters, Elder Deborah Walls, Carolyn Dobbins of Statesville, NC, Margaret Dobbins, and Glyness Morrison; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Temple Holiness Church with Bishop Ernest Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Tuesday at the Church.

The family extends thanks to the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care of W-S and her private physician Dr. Robert Kelly.
