Obituary

On Wednesday November 7, 2007 at 12:55 pm God sent an angel to take home his child Mary Magdalene Carmichael Davis of 1348 Holly Ave. Mary was born on July 8, 1964 in Dillon, SC to General Lee Carmichael and Ollie Stephens.

She attended the Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools. She was employed at Brookridge Retirement Homes for 19 years as a Med Tech. She was also an accountant.

As a teenager she joined St. Paul Apostolic Church where she went down in Jesus' Name and soon after received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. As a faithful member she participated in many auxiliaries throughout the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, General Lee Carmichael Jr.; a nephew, Keith Carmichael

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 19 years Mikle Davis Sr.; five children, Tequeta Carmichael, LaTiffanie Greer, Tameka Carmichael, Michelle Carmichael, and Mikle Davis Jr. all of Winston Salem, NC; Four grandchildren Sierra, Trequan, Ariyanna, and Ta'Niya and a God-grandson, Khouri all of Winston Salem, NC;

Mary leaves eight siblings, Ernest (Emma) Carmichael of NC, Billy (Lorraine) Carmichael of Stockton CA, Rosie (Anthony Jackson), Nancy Carmichael, Chester Carmichael, Betty (Darnell) Hall, all of Winston Salem, NC, Delia Carmichael of Dillon, SC and Sandra Carmichael of Winston Salem, NC; five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law; a devoted aunt, Flossie Ford; a loyal niece and nephew, Sharonda and Treavus Bethea and a mass of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, among them Bobby Lee Rogers, Betty Ann Ragmon, and James Stephens III and others that will cherish her are her loyal and dedicated friends, the Morgan and Hampton family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Saint Paul Apostolic Church with the Reverend James Funderburk officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Family visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1 pm Wednesday at the church.
