The Lord has called one of his most faithful servants home on July 17, 2015. Mrs. Marvetta Larane Johnson Hardin was born February 8, 1952 to Charlie and Mary Johnson. She was employed with Sara Lee, Inc. for more than 30 years.

She was preceded in her transition into glory by her parents; and her brother, Jerry Johnson.

Mrs. Marvetta Hardin leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, Henry Hardin; her son, Anthony (Tamala) Johnson; four step-children, Sharon (Austin) Hazel, Victor Hardin, Wesley Hardin, and Lashanda Hardin; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Gerald) Collins; two brothers-in-law; Mannie (Denise) Hardin and Bernard (Willie Mae) Hardin; one sister-in-law, Mary Cook; one aunt, Azella Goode of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended relatives; devoted friends, Curtis Evans, Bert Collins, Renee Hairston, Elaine Davis, Sharelle Landingham, and Shantele Boyd Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Wednesday at the Chapel.
