Marseille Delynne Neely Wright, age 64, peacefully accepted her call on May 4, 2025 at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, NC. She was born on September 10, 1960 to the late Margaret and Dewhitt Neely. She graduated from RJ Reynolds High School Class of 1978. Marseille earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Winston-Salem State University Class of 1999 and did further studies at Wake Forest University Masters Program-Mathematics.
She taught mathematics in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System, High Point School System, and Guilford County School System. She did further career opportunities as an Eagle Mortgage Loan Officer, Reynolds Home Personal Care Assistant, and Burger King Shift Coordinator.
Marseille was an avid Carolina Panthers and Golden State Warriors fan. She was a green thumb with plants and gardening. Marseille was always able to find resources for anyone in need. She was a faithful member of United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. Marseille loved a good joke.
Waiting to greet her are her parents, Margaret and Dewhitt Neely; father-in-law, Joe Wright; and stepdaughter, Plachet Murphy.
Marseille leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted husband, Kerin Wright; son, Joseph (Nikki) F. Neely, II; step-children, Kevin (Kira) Murphy, Kedrin Murphy, Che Murphy, Eric Murphy, and Sasha Murphy; one sister, Michelle (Bronell) Cannady; one brother, Meredith (Tamara) Neely; mother-in-law, Annie Ruth Shell; five brothers-in-law, Joely (Lisa) Wright, Norman Wright, Joe Wright, Vernon Wright, and Chris (Beth) Wright; fifteen step-grandchildren; one great-step-grandchild; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A viewing will be held from 2:00pm until 5:00pm Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Russell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Thursday, May 15, 2025 at United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:30pm on Thursday at the Church.
