Mrs. Marlyne L. McKee quietly departed this life Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Martel and Thomas Lyttle. She attended the Forsyth County Public Schools. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Winston Salem State Teachers College and a Master of Arts in Counseling from A & T State University. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality she was loved by many.

Marlyne leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 36 years and the love of her life, Clarence W. McKee. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Raye Law, Jacqueline Douglas, and Thomasena Thurston. Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by her daughters, son, goddaughter, sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, grand nieces, nephews, grand nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Monday, October 10, 2016 at United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, 450 Metropolitan Drive, Winston-Salem, NC. The family visitation will be held at 11:30 am. The Omega Omega service by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will be held at 11:00am. In lieu of ?owers, the family asks that donations be sent in the name of Marlyne L. McKee to the Winston Salem State University General Scholarship Fund, 601 S. Martin Luther King Jr Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27110.
