Marlon Idrissa Carson was born on March 2, 1973, to Earnest and Brenda Carson. He was united with Galilee Baptist Church at an early age, where he began his walk of faith. On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, God called him from labor to reward, welcoming him into His eternal home. 

Marlon graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School in 1991 and attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University as an Engineering major. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Marlon's Trucking Company Logistics and Flow Connect Entertainment, where he mentored two recording artists. 

Marlon was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend whose love for family was evident in everything he did. He also enjoyed cheering on Duke Basketball. 

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his parents, Earnest and Brenda Carson; his devoted fiancée, Sharon Roberts; his beloved son, Marlon Idrissa Carson, Jr.; his cherished daughters, Jessica, Renee (Domaneick), and Christina; his loving brothers, Adrian (Hana) Carson and Jermaine (Kelly) Carson; his treasured grandchildren, Heaven, Dominique, Nicole, Reign Joi, and Riyan Jai; his beloved aunts, Betty Stinson, Janie Jackson, and Mildred Burgess; his chosen brother, Qasim May; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, business associates, and dear friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 11:30am on Thursday at the Church.
