Marie White Robinson transitioned from labor to rest on August 6, 2010. She was born August 26, 1918 to the late Ernest White and the late Carrie Lindsay Means in Rock Hill, SC.
Mrs. Robinson attended the WSFC Schools and graduated from Atkins High School.
She was a member of the Rose of Sharon Community Flower Club. "Mother Robinson" as she was affectionately called was a devoted member of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church for 37 years. She was the first member of the Hospitality Club, a Sunday school teacher, Deaconess, a member of the Mother's Board, and a volunteer for several activities with the Church until her health declined.
She leaves to mourn her loss her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas "TC" Robinson; one stepson, Thomas Alexander Robinson of Jamaica, NY; two brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend J.R. Samuels presiding. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Tuesday at the Church.
