Elder Marie D. Dixon was called home early Tuesday morning, June, 12, 2012, to meet her heavenly father.
Elder Marie D. Dixon was born in Columbia, SC, November, 22, 1922 to the late Dock and Pearl Davis. She was married to the late James W. Dixon Sr.
She was survived by a son, James W. Dixon Jr. (Barbara Dixon) of Winston-Salem, NC; her daughter, Dianne L. Boyd of Cordele, GA; four grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one brother, Bishop A.D. Davis of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Elizabeth Griffin, of Winston-Salem, NC and Alberta Boyd of East Hartford, CT; one sister-in-law, Martha Bernice Davis of Columbia, SC; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, June 22, 2012 at Mount Olive Apostolic Church, 1200 E. 11th Street W-S, NC with Bishop A.D. Davis, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
