Maria Luisa Caballes Stephenson, aka "Malou", was born May 25, 1970 to Fortunato Caballes and Felicitas Caballes in the Philippines.  She quietly and peacefully made her transition to eternal rest on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

Malou attended Caloocan High School in the Philippines.  In 2002 she worked at Hayward Industries in Clemmons.  She followed her dream of working in cosmetology and on September 14, 2012 she graduated from Empire Beauty School.  During this time, she also worked as a certified nursing assistant and beautician at Vienna Village in Pfafftown for many years.  Her last job was an instrument technician at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist.

Malou was a devoted wife and mother.  She was very talented and a fashionista.  She loved baking, hanging with family and friends, and overall enjoying life to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fortunato Caballes.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Gerald Eugene Stephenson; son, Jericho Jett Stephenson; daughter, Mayumi Rayne Stephenson; mother, Felicitas Caballes of the home; four sisters, Marites Mangubat (Roger) of the Philippines, Joy Lewis (Henry) of Winston-Salem, NC, Sheila Stephenson of Winston-Salem, NC, and Maryknoll Aborro (Victor) of the Philippines; two brothers, Donald Caballes and Marcial Caballes both of the Philippines; father-in-law, Roosevelt Stephenson; mother-in-law, Gladys Stephenson; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; nine nephews and nine nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30pm Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 2:00pm until 2:30pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
