Mrs. Maria Anthionette Giles Cody, 59, peacefully departed this life and went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Royal Park Rehabilitation & Health Center in Matthews, NC following an extended period of illness.  She was preceded in death by sons, Tori J. Cody and Samuel J. Cody II; and her mother, Mae Frances Petree.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Samuel Cody; daughter, Danielle (Ivan) Jones; father, Willie Giles; sister, Debra (Tyrone) G. Hatchett; brother, Terrance (Felicia) Giles; grandchildren, Jaxson, Laila, & Micah Jones; and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.

Homegoing services will be held at 12:00noon Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Greater Church, 5095 Lansing Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Thursday at the Church.
