Margaret Simon was born in Darlington, South Carolina to the late Willie Evans and Jane Castley on March 26, 1930. Margaret received her wings at Trellis on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

Margaret was a dedicated housekeeper for many years before retiring. She was dedicated to serving Christ which she showed through several years as an Usher board member at Beulah Baptist Church. She was a phenomenal mother, granny, sister, aunt, and friend. Margaret enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking, getting her hair done, and talking on the phone.

She will be greeted by her husband, Henry Simon; her son, Henry Simon Jr.; her mother, Jane Castley; and her father, Willie Evans. She has a close family that will really miss her dearly.

Margaret is survived by her sister, Mary Brockton; her children, Lucille Speights (John),  Margo Marsh (Clarence),  Carolyn Tatum (Ernest),  Johnny Simon (Victoria), and Rosa Simon; her grandchildren,  Barbara, Lawrence, David, Clarence Jr., Clarielle, Christiaan, Chawnika, Jeffrey, Kennethia, and Derricka; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Monday, October 25, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021.  Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
