Obituary

"I heard a voice of Jesus say, Come unto me and rest, lay down thou weary one, Lay down thy head upon my breast." Summoned by the voice of the Lord and escorted by an entourage of angels, Mrs. Margaret C. Rosemond made her transition to her heavenly home on August 25, 2010 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
Born July 13, 1936 in York County, SC to Bee Effie Terry Campbell and Furman Campbell she was a product of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System graduating from Atkins High School class of 1955. She was a faithful member of First Calvary Baptist Church, where she served on the Senior Choir as President for ten years, President of the Senior Missionary for two years, Secretary of the Benevolence Club, and Sunday school until her health began to decline. She retired from Thomasville Furniture Factory after twenty years of service.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jimmy Lee Conner, Jr.; and her husbands, Jimmy Lee Conner, Sr. and George Rosemond.
Surviving to carry on her memories are one sister, Carolyn C. (Julius) Epps; a loving aunt, Mrs. Lucy Brownlee of Simpsonville, SC; three granddaughters, Kristy Spruill of Winston-Salem, NC, Tiffany and Jimmice Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO and their mother, Barbara Johnson; two great-grandsons, Marcus and Jaylen Woodley; nieces, Christa Epps, Sonja (Louis) Carey; a great-niece, Kimberly Gregg; nephew, Byron Epps; great-nephew, Terron Epps; a special devoted friend, Mr. Bosie Foxx of Pikesville, MD; her sisters-in-Christ, Vera Phillips, Edna Greggs, Mozella Lamkin, Laura Kennedy, and Barbara Blair; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and many, many friends.
In her final days of Earth, the staff at Forsyth Medical Center and at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home took very good care of Margaret and her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, August 28, 2010 at First Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend John A. Jackson of Goodwill Baptist Church, Madison, NC officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11am on Saturday at the Church.
May her faith and courage be a testimony to us all.
