Sybetta owned and operated a daycare in the home for over a decade and retired from the Winston Salem Forsyth Country school system in 2014. Sybetta was a woman with a heart of gold and loved her family, her fashion, and her faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalee and Eva Hagler, her loving son John, a great granddaughter Heavenly, her sisters Geneva Mann and Linda Lackey and a brother Jimmy Hagler.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, John of 57 years , five daughters Deborah (Oscar) Strange, Hopi (Frankie) Denny, Tabitha (Cedric) McCullough, Margaret Denny, and Nikkole Denny all of Winston Salem plus 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, her siblings Ross Hagler, Dorothy (RC) Bryant, Zealous Hagler, Michael (Gracie) Hagler, Vanessa (Ambrose) Gomillion, Ruby Houser all of Jonesville, NC, and Chris (Hayden) Parsons of Winston Salem and Naomi Whittington of Walnut Cove, NC.
