Marci Sherese Brooks Carpenter was born August 10, 1977. She went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at her residence.

Marci graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1995. She also attended Dudley Cosmetology School. Marci was licensed in ministry and a former associate minister at Shiloh Baptist Church.

Marci leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, Anthony Carpenter; son, Ahmaud Carpenter; daughter, Ahbria Carpenter; stepson, Anthony Carpenter, Jr.; stepdaughter, Aniya Johnson; parents, Willie and Jacqueline Brooks; two sisters, Monique (Tyrone) Frazier and Asha Sims of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Shon (Omyra) Sims and Jae (Shefye) Sims both of Charlotte, NC; niece, Elise Frazier; nephew, Yasir Sims; father and mother-in-law, Michael and Renee Carpenter; two brothers-in-law, Michael Carpenter and David Myers; 3 uncles; 7 aunts; a devoted aunt, Katrina Payne; two devoted cousins, Ruby Wilkerson and LaToya Mock; a special life-long friend, Kia Spears Hickman; God-daughter, Kaylah Mock; and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Paul A. Lowe, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
