Mamie "Minnie Lee" McCormick, daughter of Camilla Wade Carter and Robert Collins was born April 14, 1927, in York County, SC and she was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Bermuda Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Advance, NC.

In addition to her parents, Mamie was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Gilmore, Bessie Cooper and Daisey Shealey; five brothers, William Jones Sr., twins, Rob and Bob Collins, Samuel Collins and Tom Carter; one son, Dwight Turner; two daughters, Victoria Nivens and Claretta Denise Watts; and one grandson, James Wellman.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, three children, Diane (Adolph) Johns, Wayne Turner and Regina McCormick; five grandchildren, Katetia (Shawn) Bennett, Raegin Shephard, Tywann Smith, Cecelia Henry and John Watts III; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lovely friends.

A private memorial will be held later at an undisclosed location for immediate family and close friends.
