On September 17, 2014 God called home a wonderful woman to join her family and friends. Maggie Crockett was born January 31, 1943 to Rev. Charlie Jackson and Marion Jackson.
She graduated from Carver High School and Forsyth Tech; and retired from Forsyth Medical Center after 25 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Crockett; one sister, Betty Washington; and five brothers, Charlie Jackson, Andrew Jackson, Harold Jackson, Joe Jackson, and Eli Jackson.
She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Jackson; one son, David Jackson (Ann); three grandchildren, Marion Jackson, David Jackson, and Charlithia Jackson; a host of great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Jackson (Mary) and Rosevelt Bennet (Betty); one sister, Jessie Wise (Robert, Sr.); two sisters-in-law, Linda Harris (Horace) and Yolanda Anderson (Zachary); one devoted niece, Dianna Jackson; three devoted nephews, Gary Allen (Gloria), Harold Jackson, Jr. (Kelly), and Arteria Crockett (Artanza); and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Arteria Crockett, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Monday at the Chapel.
