Maggie Pilson Booker was born on May 8, 1927 in Surry County, NC to Hubert & Anaka Bitting Pilson.  She passed to eternal life on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Edgewood Place after years of declining heath.

Mrs. Booker was employed as a housekeeper for over 50 years.  She was an active member of St. Stephen's Missionary Baptist Church until her health began to decline.  She was educated in the Surry County Schools and enjoyed reading, working with plants, and talking on the telephone.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Booker; and her brothers, Glenn, Richard, Herbert Osley, and Joe Pilson.

Mrs. Booker is survived by her daughter, Deborah Booker Sellars of Burlington, NC; grandsons, Tazz J. Wilson (Tameria) of Simpsonville, SC and Jermaine W. Sellars of Burlington, NC; great-grandsons, Brandon M. Wilson and Jonathan T. Wilson of Simpsonville, SC; one sister, Kattie B. Pilson of Mt. Airy, NC;  and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Saturday at the Chapel.
