Magaline Woods Foxx, known to many as "Moot", 77, was born October 21, 1932 in Rock Hill, SC. She was the daughter of Alexander "Rockhill" Woods and Mrs. Patsy Woods. She made her transition into eternal life on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Foxx was a retired employee of Pell Care Nursing Home for 18 years. She attended Atkins High School and was an avid participant and lover of all sports. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; two daughters, Gale Brown and Debra Leach; and one brother, Alvin Woods.
She leaves to cherish her precious and fond memories her husband, Boysie Foxx, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; her loving mother, Patsy Woods of the home; four daughters, Melonee (Michael) Blackmon of Winston-Salem, NC, Andrea Johnson of Grand Prairie, TX, Zelinda Foxx and Bozetta Foxx of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Gary (Carolyn) Brown of Winston-Salem, NC and Boysie Foxx, III of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Gordon Dean of Smyrna, GA; a devoted aunt, Mary Richardson of Rock Hill, SC; 18 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Hanes Memorial CME Church with Reverend Clarence Cox, III officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1pm on Tuesday at the Church.
