Mrs. Mae Alice Roberts Archia was born on Wednesday, April 18, 1934 in Winston-Salem, NC to Mr. Benjamin H. Roberts and Mrs. Bessie Bess Roberts.  She departed her life on Thursday, August 12, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Alfred Harmon Archia, Sr.; a daughter, Ms. Carolyn Evon Archia; and a son Richard S. Archia.

Mae Alice attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public schools and was a graduate of Atkins High School.

Mae Alice was a devoted and dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist Church for seventy-five years, where she served as a Deaconess and was a member of the Ladies Aid Ministry.  In the past, Mae Alice directed the Youth Choir, Mass Choir, and Women's Chorus.

She was formerly employed at Arcadia Microfilm Company for fourteen years, and retired from Old Salem Museum after twenty-five years serving faithfully as a lead supervisor in housekeeping.

Precious memories will be cherished by one son, Elder Alfred Harmon Archia, Jr. (Regina) of King, NC; two daughters, Ms. Gloria Archia Robinson and Mrs. Geraldine Archia Martin (David) of Winston-Salem, NC; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Shirley Robinson Archia, of East Orange, NJ and Ms. Catherine Archia Barksdale of Rural Hall, NC; and a host of devoted grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many caring friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Friday, August 20, 2021 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Paul Lowe, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
