Mae Della Pender Fowler, daughter of Bradley Pender, Sr. and Beulah Mae Crawford Pender was born in Anson County, NC on July 18, 1940. She departed this life on Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Family Home. She attended Simon G. Atkins High School and obtained her GED from Forsyth Technical Community College. Mae Della worked for National Linen until they closed. She also worked for V.F. Jeans and most recently at Atkins Academic and Technology High School.

She was an active member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. She enthusiastically served as President of the Katie Hawkins Missionary Circle. She regularly attended Sunday School until her health declined. Mae Della was known for her witty personality and willingness to help anyone in need.

She was predeceased by her parents; her daughter, Deborah Fowler; sister, Yvette Pender; brothers, Robert and Tommy Pender; and grandson, Michael Jordan, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Fowler, Jr.; daughter, Whitney Fowler; grandchildren, LaToya James, Tameka Matthews, Anthony Taylor, Ayanna McCaskey, Brittney (Chris) Payne, Jarrett Terry, and Kenard Lamar; twenty-three great grandchildren; siblings, Johnny (Frances) Pender, Vernal (Gwen) Pender, and Bradley (Jacqueline) Pender, Sr.; sister-in-love, Randon Blackmon Pender; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Friday, July 8, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Hash officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Saturday at the Church.
