Mae-Ella Danzilee David born November 25, 1940 to Virginia Covington and Kenny David who are deceased. She had two brothers, Daniel David and Kenny David that left her to be with the Lord years ago. She had three daughters, Lorianne David (deceased), Frances Smith (deceased) and Bracey Bristow. She left behind one son-in-law, James Bristow. She has 12 grandchildren, Shameker David, Michael Smith, Shanina David, Tyree Smith, Michelle Smith, Wayne David, Tyrese Smith, Alexis Hayne, Michael Stevenson, Shamyra Bradley, Lewis Bradley, and Rashinea Bradley. She also has 14 great- grandchildren, Skylayisa, Starasia Shymonique, Saequan, Loriyonna, Ashanti, Makenzie, Treyvon, Zariya, Heaven, Nevaeh, Gabriella (deceased), Amyarcle, and UnBorn. She leaves behind nieces and nephews, Jenny David, Bilancia David, Kenny David, Daniel David, Timothy David, Marc David and John Boswell; her best friends, Ethel Bradley, Cora Williams and Dorothy McGee; and a host of family and friends.
Ms. David went to Marlboro High School in Bennettsville, SC. She worked many years on her parents farm in South Carolina as a young child. She always had a passion to help people in need or sick people, so when she became an adult, she worked in two different nursing homes. As a young adult, Ms. David decided to move to New York where she worked many years in a factory making police officers' hats. She was married twice to George Stanford Bryce and Willie Shorter. Both of her husbands have been deceased for many years.
Ms. David attended Sandy Clove Baptist church in Bennettsville, South Carolina where she was a church member and choir member. She knew the lord, loved the Lord and called on his name all the time. She was baptized at the age of eleven years old. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother and friend. You could always depend on great advice from Ms. David regardless if you liked it or not, she was going to be honest with you. She always told all her grands no matter what the problem is take it to the Lord, God got you and you can always trust in the Lord and just be patient because God never does anything wrong.

Ms. David had so many great characteristic traits, above are just a few that described how great she was. She will truly be missed and was loved by many people.
Viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
