Obituary
On July 5, 2009, after a brief hospitalization, God in His infinite wisdom called Lydia Mae Cannon "Doomie" from labor to reward.
Lydia was the only child born to B.T. Cannon and Izola Cannon Crosby born on August 29, 1925 in Winston-Salem, NC.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Alton C. Cannon; two grandsons, Anthony Webb and Acari Goldsmith; first cousins, Oliver (Wilma) Wheeler, Montana (Troy) Davis, and Vonetta (Joseph) Brannon all of Winton-Salem, NC; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Monday, July 13, 2009 from the Goler Memorial AME Zion Church with Reverend Dr. Seth O. Lartey officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until Noon on Monday at the Church.
