Mrs. Luvenia Eleanor Williams Fair, 82 went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2015. She was born August 5, 1933 in Winston-Salem, the daughter of Elsie Williams and Clyde Cuffie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ethel Mae; and aunt, Sallie Hanes.
She graduated from Atkins High School and attended Forsyth Technical Community College where she was certified as a Dietician. Luvenia retired as a Dietician Assistant from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after 29 years of service. She was a former member of Zion Hill Baptist Church (Secretary), and a member of Antioch Baptist Church until her health failed. She was a Member of the Sophisticated Ladies Social Club, where she served as Queen in 1979. She was also a member of the Carver Senior Citizens Club.
Luvenia leaves to cherish her memories 3 children, Minster Tyrone Fair (Wanda) of the home, Gloria F. Holmes (L.D.) of Fort Washington, MD and Jacquelyn Fair of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Micheala Fair, Bridgette Holmes, and Antonio, Aqunedia and Bobby McQueen; great grandchildren, Marteka and Marcia Fair; one great-great grandchild; a sister, Yvonne Jackson; lifelong friend, Ms. Alma Penn; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Wednesday at the Chapel.
