Ms. Lula Gamble, was born to Mrs. Thelma G. Grant, whom preceded her in her homecoming. She was also preceded in death by her son, Nathan L. Gamble; three sisters, twins-Mary and Marthann, and Darlene; one brother, Alton Gamble; and one cousin, Edward Gamble.
She is survived by her three daughters, LaTonya (Gerard) Kirkland, Lakeisha (James) Legette, and Kelli (Tariq) Stowe; ten grandchildren, Eiliyah Kirkland, Bryson Glenn, Lil James "LJ", Jordan, Jaydon Legette, Logan, Lucia, Olivia, Grayson Stowe and Shanyia Gamble; four siblings, Luzette Grant, Anthony, Alford, and Ronald Lee Grant; devoted sister friend and confident, DeShanna Wilson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Lula attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Schools. She loved to eat, cook, dance, sing, love on her children and grandchildren, and her very close family and friends. She had two special little girls whom she just wouldn't ever let them do no wrong, her rollies: Makyla Grant and Layla Gamble, her mini alter egos.
She was always the life of the party everywhere she went and everywhere she left that little sparkle. She looked out for people when she didn't have to. She loved unconditionally and to the fullest. She NEVER passed judgement on the next person for anything they did, even when we wanted her to. She treated everyone the way she wanted to be treated. She loved hard and fought harder, don't get her twisted. She has a huge host of dear and devoted family and friends whom will carry her beyond this world in honor and love. Let this day bring about a sense of peace, ask for clarity with the sight of God, and watch her shine bright!
