Mrs. Lucy Ann Manns Wilson passed away on October 24, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Wilson was born August 22, 1927 in Sauratown Township in Stokes County, NC to the late Jacob and Mary Martin Manns. She was a native of Belews Creek, NC until she moved to Winston-Salem with her husband, Jimmie L. Wilson. She retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System with many years of dedicated service.

Mrs. Wilson was a dedicated servant of the Lord serving in several positions throughout her life at First Baptist Church. She was a gold star member; president of the deaconess board, Tiny Tot choir director; Cradle Roll Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout Leader, member of the senior choir and women progressive club.

She was also the president of the Cherry Hill Community Club.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie L. Wilson.

She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Wilson of Pfafftown, NC and Tamara Wilson of Avondale Estates, GA; a nephew whom she raised as her son, Cornelius Manns of W-S, NC; grandson, Mr. Tralane Wilson of Greensboro, NC; brother-in-law, Herbert Frazier of Stokesdale, NC; and many loving nephews and nieces; special friends, Ida Cathy and Elsie Foy.

The family will greet friends on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 6pm until 8pm at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, October 27, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 700 Highland Ave. W-S, NC with Reverend Dr. Darryl Aaron officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
