Obituary
Elder Lucille Williams Johnson, "CHICK", passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
Mrs. Johnson was born October 20, 1944 to the late Sam and Edith Williams and was a lifelong resident of W-S, NC. Mrs. Johnson was married to Elder Charles Johnson who preceded her in death in 2011. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Holiness Church where she served faithfully until her health declined.
"Chick" loved kids and helped raise most of her nieces and nephews and later became a caregiver at Waughtown Kid's R Us Daycare Center where she was employed for several years.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Sam, Jr. and Harry Williams; one sister, Lillie Mae Nickerson; and a special nephew, Garfield Williams.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tia Duncan; grandsons, LaMaurice Williams and Ezekial Duncan; sisters, Clarice Woods, Mary Williams, and Ernestine Williams; niece/sister, Barbara Howard; sister-in-law, Dot Williams; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, January 3, 2014 at Macedonia Worship Center, 500 Kinard Dr. W-S, NC with Bishop Antonio Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Friday at the Church.
Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Cancer Centers of NC and the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for all the care and support shown to our loved one during her time of illness. Special thanks to Macedonia Worship Center.
