Lucille Boozer Giles was born September 2, 1939 to the late James Willie Boozer and Tecora Tidwell Boozer. She departed this life peacefully March 21, 2018 after years of declining health.

Lucille was employed as a Unit Secretary at NC Baptist Hospital and Davis Memorial Hospital for a combined 40 years.

She will be remembered well for her sassy spirit and her joy of cooking great home-cooked meals.

She is survived by and leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 37 years Willie Giles; her children, Robert, Debra, Jeffrey, and Cassandra Boozer; a godson, Terry Cox; stepchildren, Debra (Tyrone) Hatchett, Maria (Sam) Cody, and Terrance (Felicia) Giles; two sisters, Mary (Nathan) Denning and Ella Self; one nephew; one niece; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A special thank you for the care she received from her Hospice Care Team and Silas Creek Rehabilitation Staff.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Tuesday at the Chapel.
