Louis Little peacefully joined his heavenly father on October 1, 2025 surrounded by his beloved wife, Katherine, of 39 years. Louis was born in Wadesboro, NC on September 21, 1953 to the late Louise Little. After graduating from Atkins High School in 1971, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served for 3 years.
Later he continued his education at Forsyth Technical Community College and WSSU while working with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. His entrepreneurship included owner and operator of Little Environmental Company Inc. for over 25 years.
After retirement, he moved back to Winston-Salem where he enjoyed family and friends. He had a special love for his mother-in-law, the late Barbara Rice. He never met a stranger and was an avid chess player and antique car collector. He was a huge Oakland Raiders Fan (LA Raiders) and kept a camera in his hand. His laughter and sense of humor was one of a kind.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 39 years, Katherine; daughters, Sheriziner (Terry) Morgan, Marcellina (Antonio) Caldwell, and Ynvonta Little; 8 grandchildren; brother, Coleman Little; sister, June L. Garner; sister-in-law, Diane Little; father-in-law, Clayton Rice, Sr.; brother-in-law, Clayton (Carletta) Rice, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Wanda (William) Anderson, Donna (Ronald) Pigford, Tracy Rice, Eunice Smith, and Karen (Ray) Sterling; 2 devoted nieces, Taylor Rice and Rhonda Lindsay; one great-nephew, Kingston Lindsay; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends whom he loved dearly.
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Russell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 11:30am on Thursday at the Church.
