Obituary

Louis Frierson, III entered the world on January 9, 1992, in Jacksonville, NC to Louis and Bettina Frierson Jr.

In 2010, he graduated from Mt. Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, NC. While at Mt. Tabor, he accomplished many goals which included receiving the highest GPA in the Cisco 1 and 2 Program and the AP Scholar with Honor Award by College Board. During his 11th grade summer, he was selected to be a North Carolina Community Development Initiative summer intern and was assigned to Goler CDC. During his eight weeks at Goler CDC Louis wrote a winning proposal which resulted in new computers for the organization. After graduating from high school, he went to study Japanese and Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In college, he made the Dean's List at the College of Computing and Informatics his freshman year. He also received a scholarship to study abroad in Tokyo, Japan at Gakushuin University, a very prominent, scholastic institution. While he was overseas, he transcended into his next journey on June 20, 2012.

Louis was a very bright young man. His drive and determination motivated others to follow his path. He always strived to do better. Louis had an infectious smile that would warm your heart upon seeing it. His laughter would brighten your day and his intellect would shock you. He was wise beyond his years.

If you knew Louis, you knew he had a passion for video games, computers, and music. His dream was to create his own video game and one day, own his own brand. That enthusiasm stemmed from his love for video games. He was always hard to beat on any system. He was very tech savvy. Whenever anyone had a problem with software or hardware on the computer, Louis eagerly helped. He never hesitated when it came to helping others. He was beyond generous and empathetic. Even when someone just needed to vent, Louis would always lend an ear.

Art and writing were also a passion of his. He drew comics in his spare time, mostly funny ones. He had a great sense of humor. Anything he could do to put a smile on your face. Before his passing, he had almost finished two works, both short stories, which he planned to have published.

Louis' pride and joy was his music. He was very eclectic and loved hearing new music. His iPod was a staple in his daily routine. You would always catch him jamming to some drum and bass, but his favorite song was "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" by Frank Sinatra. He was definitely a dreamer, but he was an individual who saw no limits. His dreams were nothing but the starting points to a bright future.

Louis leaves to celebrate his journey his father, Louis Frierson Jr.; his mother, Bettina Frierson; 3 sisters, Takeyrah, Elizabettina, and Brionna; 2 brothers, Ikaika and Jarin; grandparents, Betty Figliuzzi, Frederick Stepherson Sr., Anna and Larry Payne , Louis Frierson Sr. and Eugena Frierson; and a collage of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends at 12:00pm Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Miracle Temple Deliverance Church, 2930 Prescott Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27107 with Bishop Larry Spates officiating.
