Mrs. Lorraine D. Robinson, 80 of 2308 Glenn Avenue passed away June 16, 2010 after a period of illness.
She was born October 20, 1929 in Orangeburg, SC to James Davis, Sr. and Mattie Phillips Davis.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Richard L. Robinson; and one child, Inell D. Gardner.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Cora Sloan of the home, Willie Mae (James) Austin of Winston-Salem, NC, Ronnie (Alyson) Davis of Baltimore, MD, Bernard Ginyard, Albert Davis, and Johnny Davis all of Winston-Salem, NC; a devoted granddaughter, LaMecca (DaMon) Smith; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, David L. Thompson of Winston-Salem, NC; two devoted nephews, Leroy (Blondell) Davis and Frank (Sara) Davis; a God-son, Wilbert Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, June 21, 2010 at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, 5000 Noble Street Winston-Salem, NC with Reverend J. Cooke officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Monday at the Church.
