Mrs. Lorene Hairston Ziglar of 170 Bay Street, Rural Hall, NC passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on February 19, 1936 to Mrs. Nellie S. Hairston and Mr. William "WILL" Oaks of Rural Hall, NC.
Mrs. Ziglar was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Hairston; her parents; three sisters; and two brothers.
She is survived by two sons, Mr. Demery L. Ziglar of the home and Mr. Leonard C. Hairston of Winston-Salem, NC; three daughters, Mrs. Dollie M. Kinnard and Ms. Mary A Hairston both of Winston-Salem, NC and Ms. Linda D. Hairston of Raleigh, NC; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ila (Reverend Arthur) Eldridge; two aunts, Mrs. Inez Mitchell of Rural Hall, NC and Mrs. Savannah Oaks of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 3:00 pm from the Saint James United Methodist Church, 165 Highway 65 West, Rural Hall, NC with Reverend Rodney Eldridge officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, NC. The family visitation will be held from 2:30 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday at the Church. The family will assemble and leave from the home of Mrs. Lorene Ziglar in route to the Saint James United Methodist Church.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Staff of the Palliative Care Center at Baptist Hospital and to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for all their support and care that was given to our mother during this time.
